    Hey...I need help.
I need to pull a 40 ponitac doghouse.....never done anything like it.

I see that the fenders are attached to the cowl with 3 bolts per side.
Do I need to pull the radiator?
I think another attachment place is near the radiator support.
I 'd like to remove the fenders & grill etc as 1 piece.
    Is this possible?

    Thanks

  2. If it's anything like my 52 dodge truck, it's not too hard.

On my truck, I unbolted the radiator support from the frame and removed the bolts that hold the fenders to the main body. Check for any other bolts that may be holding the inner fender wells to the frame or other panels that won't be coming out too.

I then hooked up some straps and lifted it out with the engine hoist.

In retrospect, a few things would have made it easier.

should just be attached at the bottom of the radiator support, and the back of the fenders. Might have that brace from the firewall to the top of the radiator support. If you have someone to help you lift it off, that will be a big help, and you could probably leave the radiator in it if you want to, but be sure to remove/cut the rad hoses. Also disconnect the wiring for the lights, and remove the bumper if the brackets go thru the fenders.
