Hot Rods How to decipher a '40 Ford dash?

I need some help identifying which knob goes where on a '40 Ford dash. When I bought this car it had an aftermarket dash in it with Stewart Warner gauges so I'm basically starting from scratch in regard to an original dash. I've got the dash and steering column installed and am trying to figure out which knob goes where. I know where the starter button and the wiper knob go but after that I'm at a loss. Somebody somewhere must have a diagram of a '40 dash they can steer me to....... I hope. Thanks in advance for any help.

The shoeboxes have a Green Bible, is there such a book for the Forty?

 

I have found these two to be very, very useful. Use them all the time.
Pretty similar to Green Bible and excellent resources for parts ID
and mechanical repair procedures. Check ebay for used copies.
