I wear hearing aids and glasses and am starting to gray. I feel old since I`m in my upper age category. I`ll be up for 4 more hours. 50

I remember I was 22 when Neil sang this.

Now 45 years later. I’m the old man he was singing about.

But they'll be up at 5:30 am making the coffee. I expect a big push from the 71-80 year olds in the morning.

Just turned 65. I got up at the asscrack of dawn for 40+ years while working so now; 2 years retired, I go to bed late and get up late. Why the hell not?

  10. Maybe the younger guys are more into street rods and muscle cars rather than traditional hot rods.

I'm 73, go to bed at 10 pm and up around 4-5 am. Also the oldest student on campus (BYU Idaho), should graduate end of winter semester with BS-recreation management, then go back to being retired. Couple projects lined up a 46 GMC delivery van and copy of 23 dirt track T I built in the early 90's

  15. Not sure how old I am. I was born on Feb 29 and when I tried to figure out how old that made me, smoke started coming out from under the calculator.

OK, 67 last time I checked.

kickin ass at 76, arthritis jumped up has me so stoked up I can hardly walk. But I am changing my diet and eating anti-inflammatory food and will get the best of it. I can't live without hot rodding.

no wonder going to car events now it looks like a party for senior citizens - a fairly common comment here is that people don't go to car shows because the silver hairs just sit in their chairs all day - some time go over and offer to help them get up out of their chair - Ha!

Maybe so. I know I was when I was younger, and can still appreciate a good street rod or muscle car (ratrods - not so much ). I think enough of the younger guys will evolve into traditional rodders to keep the passion alive, though it will get harder as stuff gets more scarce. I also strongly beleive that, just maybe, we need to put down the pitchforks and sticks and stop trying to "beat" tradition into the new guys that show an interest. Take them under our wings, even though they don't quite get it yet. Gently show them the path and they will come around. I did, and I am sure I am not the only one here that has seen the beautiful truth.

    54, by the way.;)

  29. soon to be 74, up at 4-5 each day, stay active no couch potato here. Still working on my new 26x34 shop, building a new bathroom in the house, have to install central vac for the wife and a new French door for the master suite then try to finish the 31 project while repainting this old house this summer.
My good friend who does not do computer's is 78, is finishing his SoCal coupe clone, building a midget for a club member friend, installing a blower on another A project and working on a T speedster for yet another club member. I can't keep up with him......
