I'm 58 and letting my beard grow this year. My wife does not like it. She says it tickles her legs when I kiss her goodnight.

That is some very interesting data. In 2009, 43.3% of HAMB members who responded were 40 or younger, with a 1544 person sample size who voted before the poll closed. Today, (albeit with a much smaller sample size so far), only 14.1% of those polled are 50 and below (adding in the 10 years that we all aged since 2009)

The average age of HAMB members who respond to a poll has increased dramatically in the last 10 years, even if you factor in the 10 years everyone has aged since the poll was taken.

That could mean a lot of things, and isn't really big enough of a sample to be scientifically accurate. But it would imply that either a huge amount of younger people were active in period hot rods and customs who simply gave it up in the last 10 years, or that those people simply don't come here anymore.
