I´m 43. When I was 18 I thought 30 was old as f**k. Now ´s all different. My Gandma at 98 calls my parents the young ones, at 74 and 66... it´s all a matter of perspective.

Being a man, we never mature past our early 20's!
Our bodies continue to age (if we're lucky).
My body is now almost 67, but my brain just can't accept that!
It is just plain awful to live in such conflict every day!
Oh well I suppose it could be worse!

  15. The price of this stuff only seems to go up. So I don't really feel hotrods are going to lose their appeal. I'm 40

  21. I already responded that I was 76, but I just remembered a smartass reply that we used to quote back in my air force days.
"So damn old, that I was the lead in the formation flyby at the last supper".

  23. Glad to learn that you are cancer free.
Unfortunately, I have bone marrow cancer since 1988, and have never been in remission. The only reason I am still alive, is that I am on a drug that controls the disease and allowed me to work to within 3 years of my compulsory retirement.
I am approaching 77, but have to sometimes go for long periods where I can't do any physical activity. If my physical state was anything like my mental state, I would be Charles Atlas. :)
    Continued good luck to you.

Will be 70 this year. Some days I feel it, mostly I don't. I do a preliminary check every morning before getting out of bed, just to make sure everything is still working. No hole shots out of the sack for me anymore. I have even considered hiring someone to point me in the general direction of the garage and kicking me in the ass to get me moving. I can spend the first half of the day just thinking about what I should be doing and I'm kinda OK with that!

When I hear you guys are battling cancer, and still hanging with hot rods, it just makes me proud! I lost my sis to cancer a few years ago, it sucks! Man I was sitting at the table cutting up with her and four days later, I held her hand while she took her last breath!
She was a car gal too! Had several hot/ collectible cars in her life!
Don’t mean to come down, but you guys rock!

And she was tuffer than a boot!

  29. Bones, I am sorry to learn of the loss of your sister to cancer. My wife's sister died at age 38, and there have been a lot of losses since. I don't know how some of us survive and some don't, but being there to provide support is important.
I had to learn not to worry about the future, and just do the best I could for today. It just ended up being a lot of todays.
