I know there is prob a thread on here about chopping a 34 chevy five window but i cant find it. Could i have some info from u guys and possibly pics from same? Im thinking two inches cause im tall and the back window looks like two would be fairly easy. ??? thanks
Mat from the board here and I did 90% of the chop in two weekends, If you skim through this album there is some pics: http://s718.photobucket.com/albums/...nted Man 34 Hemi Coupe Build/#!cpZZ2QQtppZZ20
This is the one I was telling you about on the phone. The bottom of the cowl, door and rear 1/4 are patch panels for a 36 Ford, which gives it a different look. I'm not sure how much it's chopped, my guess is at least 3, maybe 3 1/2".
That's a bitchin' looking car. I wouldn't have noticed the lower patch panels if you hadn't have mentioned it but it totally makes the car. Good one Tom!
I was wondering when this would " pop up". Here's a pic of a five window which I got off the HAMB, but I have no info on the chop.
Before ya start cutting if you plan on driving it a lot and you are tall run masking tape across the windshield ,sit your butt in the car to see what works best for you. Those pesky red lights get tough to stare at bending over to see them.My neck is still tweaked from doing this over the years in over chopped top cars.LOL. I have even put moon roof windows in the top to see the lights,it workes but looks out of place in a old hot rod.
Good point low lid. I had a n old dodge coupe unchopped and had to bend over to see lights but it had a windshield shade like a model a so that caused the bending over to. Still like to see pics of a two inch chop . Thanks guys
Nice car but why do people stack shit on top of the motor to the point where they can't see?? Drag car fine, but not on a street driven car. Now before you beat the shit out of me , remember I said nice car.
