About 40 %of what it gives
say if you got 60 extra horses
in fact it develope 100 extra horses
and an eaton type blower take about
    10% of what it gives

I figured it'd be about 10-15%. If the % was too high, there could be a net hp loss. If a fueler needs 1000hp for the blower, they make 8000+ so thats what, about 12%?

Well, I used to think I know math pretty well. But I do know that a nitro-injected (no blower) car can run in the alcohol dragster class. I think they make more than 0 horsepower.

Yes, nitro carries it's own oxygen. Lippy

Forget the #'s and math. It's old school hot rodding. Trying it and seeing what happens is most of what it is all about. You aren't going to know till you try it on your particular setup. Hopefully it will be a positive hp gain whatever it is. If it isn't at first, try to improve it. And whatever it is, likely it is more about having fun than winning races. So, don't sweat it. Just give it a try and have fun.

There was a Willys coupe in the Justice Bros. display at several of the CHRR events , flatty powered with a a 14-71 bolted on top of it, Skull Engines , as I recall. I'm not sure what the deal was but I heard it lost a trans. or something. Was it a Joke ? To me it didn't have enough exhaust to keep from blowing the sides out of the block.

Just to clarify . . . the nitro classes are only allowed to run 14-71 based roots blowers. Screws are limited to the alcohol classes.
