I have been a little surprised by the number of 46 thru first series 49 Plymouths I have seen on here and just wondered who has one. What have you done to it/or plan to do to it?

Here is mine and the flathead I built for it.

    Here's one too.

Just added a sunvisor, some fenderskirts and a spotlight on her.
Otherwise, this car is stock. Even the engine hasn't received a rebuild.
Next winter, probably lowering a little... But haven't made up my mind yet.

Runs pretty good, I'm sure it will run solid high 12's.

Of course that is in the 1/8 mile.

Cruise with Dallas tollway traffic on a regular basis. Has no problem cruising at 70, just takes a little longer to get there.

    Sorry, I just miss the field a couple ways. I've got a P-10 ('40 business coupe) and a C-38 (47 Windsor 4 door sedan).

Here's mine... I've owned it for over 25 years in a number of incarnations, the latest includes a MoPar Performance crate 360, A-500 AOD, 9-inch with 4:11s, MII front end...all built by Ray Lund of Simi Valley, Ca 15 or so years ago. Oh...and NO BAGS! :D:D:D

Hey damn it, this is a secret handshake deal, if you go blabbing about how great these old MOPARS are every one will want one, then they will be sought after become popular, get expensive, parts will get even harder to find, and pretty soon furds and chebbies won't be THE CARS any more.

So enjoy your friends, maybe even get one for yourself, but for good sakes man KEEP YOUR PIE HOLE SHUT!!!!!

I used to be a P15 owner, and I'm also in Plano, too! I hope I get to see that ride of yours around town sometime.

Elrod, that was a fairly slick old sedan. Don't see a lot of the 2 doors. Where did the car go when you got rid of it?

It went out to Modesto. I traded it (sorry, but I couldn't pass up the deal) for my 31 Ford coupe. I heard that the guy lost his job in Cali though and had to move somewhere like Arizona, and I lost track of it.

  17. Damn I love those P15 Plyms and the 39-40-41 coupes. Killer.

Ive had fantasies about finding one and dropping in a blown Desoto backed by a New Process and 8 3/4" - ALL MOPAR !!

    Any more pix?

Here is my P-15. Desoto long block flathead 6 with dual everything. T-5 transmission and a
3.55/1 Charger differential. I have driven this car over 25,000 miles in the past couple years
and made some very long road trips.

Hkestes, where'd you get the speed equip. And how much?
Don coatney, the same question on the intake and did you modify that exhaust yourself? Because a friend of mine did the same thing, blocked off the center and made it true duals.

  26. Don a FNG ? I think not Don is the best Flathead Mopar guy alive ! And a hell of a good sorce of information. ask him about the big race. welcome Don.

  27. Great looking car he has there.:)

Picked it all up from Langdon's Stovebolts. I know, thats a Chevy place, but he carries some Mopar stuff as well. You can find vintage dual intakes on Ebay from time to time but they often get a little spendy. On top of that I was impatient and didn't want to wait for one to come along.

I think Don picked up his intake and exhaust from George Asche out of PA. As I understand it George is an encyclopedia of info on the Mopar flat 6's.
