I see alot of non-hamb freindly cars list, and not one 64 or older???? Same problem as the NSRA, as us old farts get older, the younger rodders can't afford the old trash as easy....

  4. I have 4 presently, that's enough to maintain on a shoe string budget plus I work 58 hours a week.

My boss has around 33 cars. He works full time on them at least 6 months of the year and he still can't keep up with it.
It's not any easier when your 63 years old and working 60 hour weeks.

I thought I needed one for each day of the week.

1923 t bucket (blown 540 BBC street legal drag car)
1926 t coupe (just on the road but we are changing it again)
1927 T roadster project (well probably 50% of what I need)
1937 Nash sedan (15 year project thats getting closer every year)
1937 Fiat Topolino (wifes car - was supposed to be the start of my fuel altered)
1952 Austin A40 pickup gasser project (replacement for fuel altered project)
1955 plymouth 2 door wagoon (it followed me home)
1986 Chev Suburban tow wagoon (about to get a turbo coz it slows down on hills)

and a couple of day cars

Im 50 and ,may be dead before they are all done so want to cut down to 4 of them, but cant figure which 4 I cant live without.

I have five, a motorized skateboard, a ski boat and a motorcycle. I don't think you have too many until you don't have anyplace to put them.

Currently 4, and I'm at my limit. I don't own my own place and I only have so many parking spots available to me!

I've got 1 Daily 4x4 XJ Jeep, 1 Street/Strip '69 Camaro. A '52 truck project That I'm hoping will replace my daily... but I doubt will fair well enough in the snow to do so, and my '29 buick which I'm either going to build out as a drag car, or sell to replace with a coupe.

If I lived in a perfect world. I would have 3. A 4x4 truck tow winter daily. I'd return my '69 to full drag, and a 5 window coupe cruiser.

There are a lot of other cars I would like, and want..but I am doing my best to restrain myself from buying anything else at this time.

I have four cars including dailys and a vintage motorcycle that are all on the road so it's enough for me. Add in my dad's three projects and it's borderline too many.

  21. think about 30 the last time we counted - except for the 4 or 5 parts cars - the 30 A and 39 cpe - they all run and move about...and not all daily drivers on the insurance card....did some one say motorbikes?...well...

Well I am only 2 months new to the classic addiction although I have loved them for quite some time. As soon as my divorce was over, I was free to follow my heart!

1940 Desoto Sedan - not running project
    1960 Ford F100 - running project
1964 Mercury Monterey - Weekend cruiser
2002 Dodge Dakota Sport - Daily
2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid - Daily

I just realized I don't have enough classics yet. :p I have my eyes on a couple others. ;)
The bad part is the only one that I have driven this year is the Dodge. My girlfriend and mother are the two benefiting from my addiction to the classics.
All is well though, I go on R&R in 2 weeks and I plan on getting my hands dirty with each of the classics.

Too many is when it interferes with taking care of the family and housing.

I have 8, but working towards the 4 "necessities": harley chopper, porsche 914, BMW DD, International truck :D I think 4-5 are about right. Any less and you are missing out on a whole range of automotive joy, any more and you are risking always feeling like you never have enough time to take care of what you have...

1950 International L-110 Truck, future street rod
1952 International L-112 Truck, parts truck (with bed and cab FILLED with parts)
1952 International L-120 Truck, stock except for full 12V conversion. My DD truck.
1957 Ural M72 Motorcycle, with sidecar ('38 BMW R27 made in Russia)
    1976 Porsche 914
1979 Dodge Power Wagon W150, running but in storage
1981 Harley FXS Lowrider, chopped by me: hardtailed, etc
    1984 BMW 528e, DD

(All run, etc except for the two top International trucks)
