I have a 34 Plymouth hot rod and a 57 Olds kustom. My desire to own is only deterred by ability to store them. I need more garage space.:(

We also have three daily drivers and one restoration of the future. But I count none of them in with my fav's. :)

  2. Twelve total - three pickups, two hardtops, two coupes, one wagon, one four-door sedan, one 2-dr Brougham, one Aerosedan, one convertible.

The ragtop, the four-door sedan, and one pickup are the daily drivers. One pickup, the coupe and the wagon are projects.

Six is very manageable, ten is quite a few, twelve is really kind of a PITA.

Too many ? that thing with the elements Im working on and daylies dont count , they are what I call "A to B boxes" and has nothing to do with cars , atleast not where I live (in Sweden , salted roads = no one drive leadsleads to work) .
    5 cars and counting
    1952 Chevy pickup
    1951 Mercury 2door full kustom
    1950 Buick Roadmaster 2door sedanette
    1940 Mercury 2door
    1936 Ford 5W
and a 1958 Edsel Villager but thats for sale so it dont count either !
With only the -51 Merc drivable and the others destin for full kustom jobs I guess I plan a future of fullfilled sparetime and even if I never make it to finish them all atleast it made my life fun living dreaming about them finished !

My dad has his work truck and his hot rod. I have my daily and my hot rod and my mom has a daily. We're running out of places in the driveway (whenever we want to move the hot rods out of the garage we have to move the dailies).

i got 3 projects, and my dad has a project that i work on, wayyyy to much i wannna sell one eventually. its overwhelming i feal like i have no time to ejoy anything but im soo addicted still that i still want 2 more

  15. I think too many is when there is absolutely no hope of ever doing anything with some of them. I finally came to that conclusion and now find it fairly easy to just say no. At this time I am pondering the fate of some of my cars, I think I have too many !
'31 Ford Coupe, runner hot rod.
'32 Ford roadster, in the middle of being "built" and taking way too long.
'54 Ford Ranchwagon, runner, but needs work to be a nice runner.
'53 MG TD, total basket case, have to keep for sentimental reasons. I learned how to drive in this car, belonged to my father. "Will get too it eventually....".
'65 Porsche 356 cabriolet. Nice original runner.
Two daily driver's for my wife and I.

The problem is even the nice runners still need attention, tweaking, etc. If I ignore them and work on my true project, the '32, then the others go to shit, if I tweak and do maintenance on my runners then my project never gets done......I'm fucked any way you look at it.

I'm gonna sell 'em and take up sewing.

Oh man....I have a few :) People "family and friends" say I have too many and should sell some....Hmmm Lets see here: I have a 1950 Willys Jeepster, 1950 Chevrolet truck "chopped with blower", 1951 Mercury 2-dr, 1955 Big back window Chevrolet truck "Camaro Subframe and building it now to possibly resale", 1957 Chevrolet 2-dr Post, 1968 VW Bug, 1970 Chevrolet 1/2 ton P.U.

My friend just found a 1953 Desoto Wagon all complete for $500 so I just may add another one to the list this coming week.....we'll see!

  17. Wow,most of you have seriously got the"disease",having to rent a shop, helps cure that.I leave enough room to work on my 29 Chev ,plus a spot to work on my daily(97 Olds Gutless;)) or detail a customer vehicle(my side job). Shop is 14'x 32'. I had a second 29 Chev p/u project, but my nephew(youngrodder1929) took over, and then he introduced me to the HAMB. Now I want one of every cool ride I see on here. Damn, its contagious, you people have infected me! THANKS :D

If my wife were a member I don't know if I could answer this. Its not that she doesn't know as much as she is in denial and seeing a list might force her to face reality. I count 22 including one that doesn't belong to me, but lives here and three that do belong to me and don't live here.

    5 Legal Drivers
    2000 Subaru Outback (wife's driver)
    1985 Corvette (my driver)
    1991 Chevy K2500 (trailer puller/bad weather driver)
    1972 Chevy C10 (son's driver, my money)
1955 1st GMC Suburban (drivable project)

    5 Active Projects
1954 GMC 1-ton (hot rod trailer puller) (runs) (y) (avatar)
    1954 Chevy 3100 (wife's hot rod project) (y)
1951 Chevy COE (COE Suburban Cargo project) (j)
1947 Chevy COE (doesn't everyone need two COE projects?) (j)
1953 GMC rat rod project (y)

    Probably Parts trucks...
    1953 GMC 2-ton (j) (runs)
    1952 Chevy 2-ton (y) (runs)
    1951 Chevy 1-1/2 ton (y) (runs)
1979 Chevy P30 (COE running gear donor) (y) (runs)
1989 Chevy K3500 (COE running gear donor) (y) (runs)
    1951 Chevy 1-ton panel (y)
    1953 GMC Suburban (y)
    1950 Chevy 5-window (y)
    1951 Chevy 5-window (s)
    1987 S-10 (frame donor) (s)
    1955 GMC 1-ton (s)

    Son's Project
    1976 Cadillac (runs) (y)

That's 11 in my yard, three in Jeff's yard and three in the shop, ignoring the drivers, which all set outside.

In the past year I've parted out one pickup, two old panel trucks and a 90's Cadillac.

This may be too many, based on the fact I've not gotten much done over the last few years, but I am always busy managing the collection of rusty junk.
