My Dad's '33 sedan was shown in coverage of his club's rod run way back in the early 80's in Classic & Custom (anybody remember that mag?). My little brother's A pickup has been seen a few times in Goodguys coverage of their show in Des Moines. My '32 sedan has also been seen a couple times in Goodguys coverage over the years. But no features anywhere.

Built this 48' Chevy in 1991. Custom and Classic Trucks did a spread on it in the April 1995 issue. I haven't seen it in about 5 years but it is still somewhere in North Central Missouri. Same wheels are now on my 57' in my avatar. p42175_image_large.jpg p42182_image_large.jpg

I guess you'd say I scored twice over the years. My OT '65 MGB with a 327 Chevy in it was a feature in the Feb 1972 Popular Hot Rodding. Then my '27 T was a two page feature in, of all things; Club International Magazine.
Yep, a tittie book! It won Best Hot Rod at the Blessing of the Cars and a guy came over to ask about doing a photo shoot. I said, Hell yeah. Then he said, "Well, you oughta know it's not for a regular car magazine" Uhhh??
So he shot it and said, "I'll call you when it's about to come out" Sure enough, Feb 2000 it showed up amongst the flesh for fantasy.
Not exactly Rodder's Journal but how many can say there car was featured in a nudie magazine?
P.S. please excuse the tilt column. It got a '49 Stude steering column, chromed the headers and a half hood a little later to complete the look.

I had a pix of my 37 Fordor in a GG Gazette issue years ago (an old newsprint version, yuck) and my 27 in the Sep 2015 Classic Motorsports issue, honking (ha ha) around on one of the laps I got for running the Coker tour to the 2015 Mitty at Road Atlanta. That's about as rich and famous as I'll ever be. Sorry about the bad scan. Gary

Mine was in the June 2007 issue of Custom Classic Trucks but it was before I owned it. Still looks similar but I've done a lot to it. (see avatar)

The Merc was in a H.A.M.B. ad in some magazine back in '04. I don't remember the name of it, but the picture was from the first K.C. Speed&Power Tour.

    It's my claim to fame.

  29. Boy, you guys in the mags must certainly be proud, no matter when your car was featured. Congrats.
My car made the local paper once.
Of course, it was a write up because a cop was chasing me. LOL.
