    You could always fab up the top and sides as seperate pieces and attach with Dzus fasteners. The mounting tabs would be visible when the pieces were removed. It's been done lots of times, look at some of the Bonneville cars.

    You need a hood made like window blinds. Pull a string and up it goes on sunny days. Rain comes pull the string and down goes the hood sides. Damn that's genius!

    not so much the cold.....as it was the rain. filled that thing up with water more 1 or 2 or 12 times....:eek::D small plastic bag does the job. you will have some issues with condensation under the valve covers in cold weather.

    but are all 4 pieces removable....a stock hood takes up lot of room in scheme of things mentioned (or atleast my 28/29 does)

    I acctualy have had the misfortune to see a Hot Rod with a tonneau cover for a hood.

    ( It probably was marine vinyl, and it was the same color as the body...Kinda...)

    It looked like crap.
