How does my Model A look now!!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Mar 2, 2008.

  1. I really just fabbed it up with some scrapps, didn't make any templates. it has a 1" long tube between the two plates. Should not be that hard to make

    I love the H.A.M.B

It’s cool looking at conversations from literally a decade ago and getting all my questions answers

Getting ready to buy a model A and literally do the same thing lowering it. Too cool

Hate to be that guy. But what rim and tire sizes do you have on this?

16x5 ish 40-48 ford wheels. Backs are 750/16 I’d guess those fronts are 550/16 or close to that

    Thank you tim.

Now if I can just get a photo of how he hooked up his steering I’d be all set

  6. Tim was close! 16x4 and 16x4.5 and 7.50 and 5.50 16" tires.

Only pics I have of the steering are these. I shortened the stock pitman arm an inch and heat and bent a steering hoop down. Custom made drag link. Stock A steering box. I sold this car roughly a decade ago, so my memory is foggy

  7. This thread is back from a decade of death. That car is long gone, now lives in Australia and looks totally different. But I’ll add these photos, how it looked when I sold it. I did get the B engine in it and the interior done. Chrome garnish and other doo-dads. It was also featured in Hopup volume X, the last issue put out by Mark Morton.

Feels like a lifetime ago. I was in my mid 20’s. Now I’m in my late 30’s, thinking back to these days and now realizing those were the days.

Great car, thanks for the additional photos.

I was betting on them being 4.5 wide but figure 5 ish left some wiggle room haha
