I have a 1962 Olds Starfire that I lowered 3" with shorter springs made by coilsprings.com
Now it's time to replace those original AC Delco Pleasurizers that have been in there the last 50years and I thought I might need shorter ones.
Is there a place or a website where I can compare the dimensions with those of other production cars?
What would you do to find something that fits?
I'm here in germany and walk into a parts store and ask someone to compare and find what I need:-/

Not sure about online but old fashioned catalogs have dimensional listings in the back.

If you just shortened the springs and did not modify the bump stops etc then the original shox would not bottom out.

Are you concerned that at full droop the shorter springs may pop out?

search online in technical section of Monroe, KYB, etc for info how to measure shocks and what application they are for. on my '47 Ford frontend I ended up using shocks that were listed for a early 60's Corvette.

FWIW I used the early Corvette rear shocks on the front of my 1930 A. They are short.
