How do you get the clutch release beraring off of the hub so it can be replaced.

    I have my 50 flathead w/3-speed tranny apart, and want to start getting it back together, cant get the release bearing separated from the hub???
     
  2. clean the snout first and then-If it wont come off by light peckin with a hammer- hook a chain tightly behind it and then give the length of chain a snap - causing a slide hammer effect-[or loss of front teeth ]:D ...... or better yet can you borrow a slide hammer?

    Thanks, I'll give it hell!! If I knock out the front teeth, I'll also post some pics!! I wouldn't be surprised if that does happen, i have just about ran out of any luck, except for bad that is!
