I mowed grass all summer and saved my money for a 1950 1/2 ton chev p.u. It was 60 dollars. I was 9 at the time and proud I bought it with my own money. My life has been downhill since!:D

Looking good Dave at the Genoa Bar, I grew up in Genoa and recognize Nevada's oldest saloon!

Started at 12 saving money cutting grass in the summer and raking leaves in the winter also picking up coke bottles on the side of the roads for refund price of 5 cents each.
By the time I was 15 I had saved almost 7 hundred dollars in 1962 and I bought a 1956 Chevy Bel Air 2 dr hard top with then 265 v8 engine and 3 on the floor with a mystery shifter and of course a AM radio with one speaker.
I really worked hard for that car and sure was worth it.

At 15 I worked for a pig farmer, shoveling food or shit. He had a 65 mustang fastback with no engine/trans. Sold it to me for 75 dollars,in 2 installments in 1974.
