    LOL

We drilled a couple of wells near that track about 8-10 years ago. We'd stand on the rig floor and watch the cars but of course the derrickman had the best seat. :D

Don't forget the cows for the Ag deduction! (good for steaks and burgers too!). Maybe a chicken house or two, a pig barn, all self sufficient lending and big deductions.

"I'll "invest" if a foreigner is allowed to !"
97 Your not a foreigner you are a HAMB'r. Hmm exchange rate now makes that $2,500 in your dollars right? ;).

And don't froget we want the mineral and water rights too!

i tell you what, build me a cool little rain proof hut with a grease pit beside it and one of you pay my 1,000, and ill provide asphalt equipment
, as in permanent equipment, t will allow us to refinish the track to perfection.
and you need the grass cut? heheh, just get some riding lawn mowers and we'll race em around but with the decks engaged and the grass with eventually be cut.. and it will be fun.

so how does that sound? 1'000 and a hut with a grease pit for permanent on site asphalt equipment?

and dont worry, the hut and the pit will be for short visits only, so other people can use it to, and improve it at will.

I couldn't give a 1000 right now but I could definatly donate some on behalf of the HAMB. I think you are on to something here. You could 3-4 anual envents there. I think it would do well as a we could call it "Jalopy Downs" sort of like a horse track name but for our ponys. Plus you coul rent it out for other events.

Once funds are raised I would offer low then let them counter offer. Any money left over could be used to refurb the prop. This is a big task though.

Hmmm..... dragstrip, outdoor concert venue, car guy retirement community, why not add an old style drive in theater to complete it? Hell I'd be in, with the price of houses in my area, I could sell the house and buy the strip outright! Dare to dream.....

Count me in for 10G. I just gave my 30 day notice after 30 years at the same job and I ready to get the hell out this dust bowl! What would be better than to have a house right next to a HAMB drag strip with fishing holes in every direction! All while remaining in the Republic of Texas. Just setting out on the porch and watching all the working stiffs in the community make a blast down the 1/4 mile as they leave for work and again when they come home would be cool!

Oh and we must have a home owners assn. The first rule is that there must be at least 2 projects or rusty drivers in the driveway at all times. Any late models have to be kept in the garage out of sight when not in use.

I've never listened to the advice about handshake agreements and not doing business with friends and family and it has served me well (except for this latest Cadillac engine)..I'm in for a 1000...

Hey, don't leave me out. I'm in for a piece of the action. We could sell lots for house/garage and raise money quicker. Covenants should state that the garage must be equal to or greater in square foot than the house.

sounds good to me.... and if you divide out the lots then you have taxpaying citizens to counteract any others that want to petition against it.

there can be tiered membership, $10k gets you an acre for a house and garage, all kinds of stuff you could do. inital $15 gets a 2 year membership. $100 for lifetime.

I'm sure you'll need a stable boy or something, where do I send my application?
