I know what you mean. When I had my '27 upholstered we were a little too generous with the thickness of the bottom cushion and I really was riding on top of it. So I cut "butt holes" in the plywood seat base and put springs over them. Then we thinned the padding in the back and the seat bottom. I sat much lower, I just bent more at the waist and knees. The pedals remained the same and I lowered the steering column just a bit. It was a moot point though, I was never going to get down behind the DuVall windshield but at least I wasn't "riding it".
The radiator and shell in the lower left was my '29 closed cab pickup with my buddy driving.
Yes and your 27 is quite a bit larger than my 17
We're about the same size, and no one ever told me just how small a T body really is... I'm finding out the hard way!
The Zipper body is designed so you sit between the frame rails. Modified the seat for comfort. Seat back has a built in lumbar support

I’m 6’ tall and the seat pans in my T-Modified are between the frame rails...so basically the seat cushion is below the floor, so my butt ends up at pretty much floor level!, and the foot well (belly pan) is about level with the bottom of the side pipes, and 4” below the bottom of the frame.
It's too bad the actual kit doesn't have the smaller caps for the wheels...
@A Boner, is there a build thread or more pictures of your T somewhere? That one looks really great!
No “computer pics of the build. There are a few pics in the “album” on my H.A.M.B. profile page. Good interior shot if that helps. When building you have to keep the rear suspension away from where the seat is! That is, design the seat placement and frame/rear suspension together, as a package.
I'm sorry , but with the cowl & body style of this red car , how can it be dubbed a 1927 , the body screams 1925 & earlier !

About 55 years ago, my father and I looked at a T-bucket for sale for $500. I guess he was halfheartedly thinking about buying it for my older brother. I can remember it was burgundy/maroon and had an SBC (pre-350). I thought it was pretty neat, but my dad walked away. It would have been impractical, but an occasional break from reality is good therapy. My brother's first car ended up being my aunt's baby-blue, 55 Chevy, 2-door post (not Bel Air)/w 265 and Powerglide. He dyed the interior black and reversed the shackles.
