This is a 'phantom', as the Ranchero wasn't available with the full-blown Galaxie trim.
Just got this model kit in the mail yesterday..... Can't wait to paint and assemble this baby....
Also the Fairlane/Galaxie was built on the 500 long wheel base chassis. Ranchero's were on the 300 chassis that was shorter. I do like the overall concept though.
These are from the Swindlers Poker Run on Saturday, there are more pictures posted.
Think that's all, huh?

1967. The glory days of Figure-8 racing at Ascot Park Gardena. A 1957 4-door Ford Country Sedan has just clobbered a 1959 (or so) Ford Thunderbird at the intersection during a Sunday night Figure-8 race. Image is from the movie "Pit Stop".

Early 70's late 60's Vancouver Island.
I wonder if this one started out life as a Ranchero. The roof looks different to me (angled up towards the back), maybe the pic. Great looking car though.
There was a guy on the '57 forum who was attempting to make a Fairlane based '57 Ranchero. Haven't heard from him in a year or two. I was anxious to see it progress.
keep lookin', unless it's got a 427 under the hood
What he said!
Top one's a 59

Two in the same shot. cool. I thought that '57 C...vy was a conv. parked next to a 50ish sedan. The more I look at it, the more I don't think so. Sure glad they didn't do that to one of our Fords.
It's a 1957 with the roof of a 49-52 Fleetline. I saw it a couple of years ago at GNRS.
A friend of ours who has since passed away worked for Revell and scanned the 57 in our shop during the build for the model that was recently released. Here is a shot of it on the return road at the RT66 raceway. The owner of the car and the rest of the guys involved in the build are still very much alive.
Here's a few photos of my dad's 57 Coupe to Ranchero project circa 1970.
Always wondered if it survived! Any Saint Paul area Hamb'ers with an info?
