This Sunday is June 1, 2008 and the first Sunday of every month, if you are in or near Houston, you are going to the Cruze at the Dark Horse Tavern.

Date: June 1, 2008 (First Sunday of every month, except Round Up month)

    Location: Dark Horse Tavern
    2207 Washington Ave.
    Houston, TX 77007
    713-426-2442
    http://www.dhtavern.com/

    Time: 2:00 p.m.

Duration: as long as it takes.

    Attire: Cool, of course

    Talking points:

    1) Wasn't the (first anual / smi-anual?) Galveston Reliabilty Run Bitchin!!
    2) God I had a great time at the Galveston Reliability Run!!
    3) How long is it to the next Galveston Reliabilty Run?
    4) B-Bob cooks up some mean mud bugs, I think the boat oar he used to stir it with gave it just the right hint of marine varnish.

    See you Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!

  2. I'm in as always; may be rollin' the non-H.A.M.B. pro-street:rolleyes: Chevy. With A/C.

Best part about a 3 day weekend is it is always followed by a short 4 day week!

    Humpday bump.

Suicide-D I bet Les would play you. He's a Brit and I think all they do is hang about in pubs and play darts.

I'm in and Miss behavin' will be making her debut! Gifts are appreciated, but not required!:D I cruised her up to the Dark Horse this past Sunday to show a friend of mine where it was. He's got a '57 T-Bird and will try and make it.

Here we are jammin' down Fannin heading into the Med Center.

I play, my dad was in pub team so when we were growing up it was natural to play. Start on a double and finish on a double.:)

I won't be in the truck this time, but I may be buying a brit bike Sunday morning if all goes well and Les gives me the Green light after giving the bike a through proctological exam.

  15. Make sure he doesn't try to give you one, those Limeys are a little fruity...

    See ya'll tomorrow....if I don't get lost. Ed

Wow, that was some good stuff. Totally great to see Fred's new T-bucket, and several new cars and bikes. Man, this thing is really cool now.

For those who could not make it here is how it went down:

And Les's singing and guitar playing was so totally dead on country that I started to doubt that he really was a limey.

I just want to say thanks to everyone who complimented my T Bucket. It really means a lot coming from such a great bunch of guys and fellow hot rodders. Here are a few more pics.

Les, rockin' us out was a treat. American Idol can shove off! The real winner was in Houston today!

This may not be pleasing to see, but when gas hits $10 a gallon, you'll have your ass on one and you'll like it!:D

  25. What's this? Live music, from a Brit no less(Les)? I thought he was only good for jokes. We left too soon.

  26. Dammit! I didn't know Les was gonna bust out the guitar. Left too soon. Bummer. Good times had by all. Already thinkin' about next month's meet-up.

Looks like I missed a good time. I'll be out of town for the one in july also, but hopefully by august the 8x2 intake will be on the 455.

Fred's t-bucket looks great... I'm sure it looks even better in person!!

I wasn't expecting to be so entertained. And staring at all of the cars is making me want to change direction and build me a roadster.... I have the perfect motor already, so that should be reason enough...right?

  29. Even with the heat? Damn, I'm sunburned, I bet Brad's bald head is red. I think I will make a Carson top for mine, if I ever get the Ugly Truck running and back to work on the roadster.
