BEST WISHES... I had my HA, a widow-maker in 2016. I drove my ass to the ER, which saved my bacon. I coded in triage, woke up 4 days later re-plumbed, a triple bypass.

I was kept for 10 days, was ready to get out of there at the 7 day point. The 1st few weeks home were hairy. I was back in the gym taking it slow after 6 weeks home.

My symptoms I thought were back pain related, on my right side near my car accident injury site. I would have an intense pain for a minute or so... hang out and it would pass. It was likely angina. BUT... it was getting more frequent, I was going to see my family doctor on Monday, but didn't get past Saturday night.

I was home alone around 9:30, me and 2 cats. I timed this episode and said if it passed 5 minutes, off to the ER. I did the math, dial 911.. call my buddy down the street. Good to listen to the voices in your head.

Hopped in my car, just brought my insurance card, phone and a few keys. I'm close to the hospital, a few miles south on the causeway. I was starting to get a collarbone pain, then down my left arm, really nothing terrible. Got a rock star spot close to the ER, made 2 phone calls on my way in, they took me in right away. I probably had a margin of error by them of a whole 45 seconds.

So Danny will be okay, at least he did it like a gentleman. I did it via sliding into 3rd base with my hair on fire.

 

We are known as CABBAGE patch kids... and they tell you zilch about sneezing...

 

This has got to be the fastest a thread has gone to 7 pages. Shows the love and following Danny has here on the Hamb. All the best, Brian.

 

Our prayers are with you Danny, take lots of time to relax and heal. I have an appointment for tests with a cardiologist next week…

Thanks Brenda for letting the world know that Danny is ill. Now we can all pray for help.

I guess I need to let my wife know how to get on here in case it's needed at some point. After all I'm one of the 'more mature' members.

I just saw this, Danny is a good friend and is known to go out of his way to help when needed, You and Brenda are in my thoughts and prayers, get well soon big guy!

 

I'm sorry to hear this AND glad to hear you caught it in time. My father endured heart attacks, bypass surgery and a stroke, I do EVERYTHING I can do to avoid whats possibly in my genetics. Thanks for hanging around Danny, I love reading your posts, take good care and heed the good doctors words, and BRENDA'S more... Mitch

 

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I had a quadruple bypass back on Feb 17th. I had 3 of the major arteries blocked 100% and the other 2 were jammed up pretty good. I was lucky to have not had a major cardiac event. I also had a heart attack on Thanksgiving Day of 2011. That took longer to get over than this bypass surgery. I was lucky they found the blockages when they did.

Take it easy, take it slow, and hopefully the recovery will be good. Eat right and do what the Docs tell you too. You won't like it, but it is better than the alternative!

Glad you're still on the good side of the grass Danny! Thought's and prayer's for a speedy and full recovery, just not too fast... Pace yourself. Listen to the doctor's... and Brenda, they know what they're talking about! And Brenda, make sure you take care of yourself too. It won't do him any good if you're down too, but I suspect you already know that!

 

Brenda, Thanks for letting us know what happened. Danny and you are family here to me and many others. Thinking of both of you.
