Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by curbspeed, Jan 3, 2022.

  1. Registration is open for this year's show again in Pendleton, Oregon July 28th to 31st 2022 Please check out website: www.hotrod-a-rama.com for information. It's still too early for a full itinerary of the event but that will be forthcoming. I sure would like to see some folks make it out from around the country. Pendleton, Oregon is quite a town. Perfect for Hotrod-a-rama Northwest!!! Reminder, Hotrod-a-rama is the weekend before Bonneville. You can hit it on your way back to wherever. All Roads Lead to Pendleton! Hope to see you there. It's gonna be a helluva show. Pre-1965 Traditional Hotrods, Customs and Vintage Drag Cars. Swapmeet spaces too. Only 25 bucks for both Friday and Sat. Right across a small side street from the main show

  7. There will be a huge hotrod party at Oregon Grain Growers Distillery on Friday night and a big cruise around town on Saturday night for sure. Maybe some bands and some nitro to clear your head and blow your mind!

Pendleton is a great place for a show. Used to live near there 10 years ago. I worked on building the tower at Wild Horse Casino.

Let’s see Deuce Days in Victoria, Good Guys in Puyallup and Hotrod-A-Rama. Amazingly they don’t overlap. Lots of miles on the avatar.

Hope to see everyone there. Pendleton is a great little town at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

I’ve been to Pendleton many times in our RV. To my knowledge the two primary RV park choices for overnighters are the KOA and the Wildhorse Casino. The KOA is a little tight on wiggle room and is close to the interstate Highway, but is close to town. The Wildhorse Casino park has a lot more space, is farther from the interstate, but is a bit farther from town. There is a nice back road from the casino to town - good cruising and about a 10 minute drive. We’ve always chosen the casino park when we could.

A bit farther out yet is the Pilot RV park at the truck stop in Stanfield. Stayed there once.

    Giddyup,

    John

Hopefully the heat is a little easier to live with next year. I watched a You tube video last night that showed that Friday the down town street (cool old part of town) was full of cars along with the cars down at the park.
There is plenty of stuff to do on that street including walking into Hamley's to stand in the middle of the saddle display area and smell fresh leather. They do have a bar along with all the western stuff an no cowboy brother in law will diss your straw hat that came from Hamley's. Plenty of shops for the significant other to get lost in for a few hours if they aren't all that wrapped up in car looking too. A wife or girlfriend who is tired because she and another rodder's lady spent the day poking in and out of shops is a happy wife, happier than the one who sat out in a lawn chair by the car all day.
The spectators what they are, are mostly very interested people no matter what the age bracket.
This little guy even got down in a stance to get his shot of the Effie with the push bumper. He was taking photos of what he liked as his family went from car to car. IMG_1751.JPG
