Can anyone recommend a hotel, motel what have you, for speed week at Bonneville?

Take the first one you find no matter what price. THEN, go researching for a cheaper one. There is a big price difference.
Cancel the first one after you find something reasonable. Works for me.

Prepare yourself for sticker shock if you find a room at all

 

The opening weekend can be a bit tight. After that you'll have you choice. 2012 a friend came over from Denmark. Arrived Sat. with no room booked. Found one no problem. Its not all room and gloom.

 

Get a vintage travel trailer and never look for a hotel again

 

I believe rooms go on sale Feb1. Rates $200/day can be 7 day minimum

 

Super 8 has been sold years ago. Its now Red Garter, west wing. Its not new, but its cheap, and you can walk next door to eat.

 

The last time we tried to book (2 years ago), It was somewhere around $200 a night, and you had to pay it up front non-refundable. That's why we haven't been in years.
