old Friday Art Hello, Here is a great example of the celebration of the 4th of July. It is the Pacific Body Shop early roadster from San Pedro in So Cal. The red early flames accentuated with the ever present blue flame pinstriping, makes for a perfect red/white/blue image. This design from those early scallops to flames days was a challenge. They did look like the scallops we used to draw. Then, as the early afternoon nap time arrived in school, our pencils drifted off the design and made some weird flames. Sometimes, the opponent is just a little quicker… The Hill Acala Red Roadster is well known from the early days of So Cal drag racing. old Friday Art the Hill Acala Roadster
