    Hey There
Just got back from Pebble Beach, and wanted to post the winner of the Hot Rod Group. The Calori Coupe took home the #1 spot. Also the Dean Batchlor award, for exellence.

This makes all the long hours worth it!
    Enjoy the pics
    One pic of the Car
The grey cat in the other is Jack Calori himself, 83 years young

Thank you so much for posting this restored Calori Ford. I have been looking foreward to see it finished for a long time. And it is fantastic.

Do you have more photo's of the other custom cars at the concours. Like the Ralph Jilek 40 Ford etc.

  6. Hollenbeck? That in the pic lead me to believe you are Daryll?

    Darryl,
I heard about the restoration & purchase of this car from Don Orozco.
    Jack,also owned a mighty fine 29 A-bone rdstr. Wonder where that's at?
A few weeks back I was @ Jim Lattins working on a deal & these wheels covers came up, n.o.s.-still in the boxes,He said that he was looking for Bill G's ph#, Told him to call Roy Boy. Looking to put a $ figure on those covers.
I guess he got ahold you guys! I remember back several years ago when you were doing the ACME body shop thing, then I read that you married a Brizio.
Not Roy though, even though that's So. San Francisco =:D.
Jorge is just getting all kinds of cool resto's done, Also saw the Hemified 34 3-W. last year while it was being built.(haven't seen it done yet though).
You do great paint work;) good luck with the car @ Pleasant-stone
    Job #1=Well Done!!!!!

What a shame to store a car that screams "DRIVE ME!". Damn nice work, though.

My buddy Bryant works for a shop here in Phx. that works on old, exotic cars. They do a lot of work for folks like Barret Jackson and the Imperial Palace. Right now he is working at Pebble Beach.

I was at another freind's house on Saturday afternoon when Bryant called on the phone. He said "Guess what I'n doing right now? I'm sitting in the Jack Calori coupe and I'm talking to Jack Calori!". Bastard! :)

    Daryll,
Thanks for the pic of the coupe, went over to your website & saw it there first (re: the Sam Barris Merc) You guys did a ,wonderful job it. Are you working out of Roy's shop or did you get another place? I seem to remember hearing that you were part of "TEAM BRIZIO".
How is the Damien Roadster coming out?
I have the orignial chassis out from under that. Last time that I saw that one-she had been repaired pretty badly. When Mumford bought it along with the BB truck, it was supposed to be a good bod. I guess Damien talked John into selling him the roadster cuz with all the paint on it she looked good for a late 70's early 80's amature resto job.
That just goes to show ya what a lot filler, primer & paint will do.
    Keep up the great work.
    Kevin

This Rolls is bitchin', I can't help but think of what a bitchin' mega buck rod you could build designed on the lines of this thing.

Best I have been able to find this is the company that bodied the car in 1925

    http://www.jonckheere.be/UK/profile/p_profiel.htm

They now appear to only body tour busses.

At the bottom of this page

    http://www.thecarconnection.com/Enthusiasts/Classics_Corner/2005_Pebble_Beach_Concours_dElegance.S215.A9132.html
There is a bit more info.

We just stood and stared at this car.. Can you imagine driving down the road in this car in the mid 20's? We thought that it would have been a great design for a Bat-mobile!
