Now this is a pretty fine hauler!!!!
Must be that it reminds me of my chopped closed cab that my cousin has had for years now, I'm glad that it's remained in the family=(my cousins son in the pic who's building a Kustom 56 Buick as we speak), keep on passing the torch guys!!!! image.jpg IMG_0278.PNG

Old trucks are my favorite. My dream truck to restore would be a 1930's Ford truck, complete with white wall tires. Lord willing, in retirement.

Suggest you start looking as they are not getting any cheaper. Storage is fairly cheap if no room at the house.

So true, I spent thousands last year buying parts trucks so I can build one(Dodge).... The only easily complete trucks found so far are Studebaker's and Chevrolet's.... Sigh... Good luck finding a complete Ford or Dodge that doesn't have a Crustang 2 insufficient suspension and a small block Chevy engine with a 700r4 in it! I don't mean to insult people who feel differently, I am just more traditional and love straight axles with nostalgic power plants that are 1954 and earlier. Not trying to start a war, just my opinion offering what I like. Chuck is right, buy it now if you can find it! It's taking me 6 parts vehicles to build 1.....

You have to include the Alexander Bro's "The Grasshopper"
    loosely inspired this build- http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/tucks-av8-pickup-build-thread-babe-the-blue-ox.827449/

Tylers truck is RAD and initially inspired me to start building something similar before my shop burned- What I really like about it that you won't see in the pic is that he drives the living shit out of it... drives it everywhere or at least he did back in the day.

I need to get it out of my system some day (channelled full fendered build)... I just couldn't come back to it so I changed lanes and started building the truck in the link above.

My 1936 was a yellow beverage truck from Placerville CA. I have parts and pieces from 3 trucks in order to create one. I am so excited to get started soon! And I thought of going yellow with the frame after all of the fabrication is done.

Now that I see that it isn't going to look tacky, I think that I just may go Yellow.

White looks tacky if overdone. And yellow with Chrome or lighter colors meshes well. The challenge is to prevent too much black to prevent a "Bee" affect.... LOL

Yes this C35 was virtually complete and unmolested. I found new pistons and sleeves for the engine, so I'm planning to keep it, maybe run 2 carbs on it. Love those old Dodges, I have a 39 half ton.

I am going to build a 265 Chrysler for my 1937. I ordered a 3 carburetor intake from AOK! I am so excited to get the project in motion! After I do some repairs done here at the Ranch, I will be on it! I just wish that I could find a 5 Speed OD for it. I know that some of the big trucks from the 1950's through the early 1960's had them. Just hard to find....

I did buy a Brownie which will give me a .73:1 OD if all else fails. But mounting another shifter in that cab will be tight. I am not a small person, and I am not a fat ass neither(used to be...), just 6 feet tall and 200 Lbs now. And cab fitment is tight for me. But this is my last resort so I can achieve 55-65 MPH on the freeways out here.
