An old digital camera set at wide angle...

    Hello,

A week or two before the onslaught of the succession of deep Pacific Ocean storms, there were actually bright sunny days in So Cal. Ha, what a concept for daily living, sunny days during the cold winter months and no rainstorms to flood or overload the creeks/rivers heading out to the ocean. (and with the heavy flow, tons of street crud along with the flowing soil and water…)

We happen to be going to the nursery for some additional plants and products for our yard. But, as usual, we always are on the look out for old cars or hot rods cruising around during all sorts of weather conditions. Dry, sunny days makes the situation so much better than slogging through the rain or giant flooding puddles, especially for a couple of old folks messing around for the day...

Again, the area is full of working trucks, mostly modern ones as they are best sellers on the current market. But, in the same light, the old cars used to be in the same categories during their weekdays.

The current days of being “retired,” the daily drives are with the normal flow of “working cars and trucks” on the road. So, we do get to see them during the day. The area of the green truck encounter was where a recent modern lumber/hardware store just got built and was open for business. It is one of a series of the same owners of the store that has been a staple of the OC for many decades, with branches spread all over the wide area.

This Light Green truck has a very mellow, but more than stock sound, emanating from the exhausts when we were next to it. My wife took some photos out of her window, too. But, the bright, sunny day called for a panoramic shot of the “working truck, albeit, a hot rod truck,” was the center of attention. The old truck made it just that much more appealing of our weekly local road trips...YRMV

What an awesome truck. Too bad you had to sell but it's completely understandable. Health comes first.

  19. Thanks but both my vehicles are a bit rough around the edges. Both drivers. I just know how to hide their flaws in my pictures. :)

This showed up last night at a local car club's cruise night. Just an amazing truck.

  28. 41 Chevy front clip on an F1 Ford, AD Chevy rear fenders too. Doesn't look like a Chevy bed, probably a Ford bed.
