Picked up this copy of Basic Ignition Systems from the HOT ROD Magazine Technical Library series. Been reading thru it myself to kind of refresh my memory and it turns out to be loaded with plenty of good, solid information and good illustrations. Since there's always plenty of ignition troubleshooting going on in the threads here I thought it might be worth a share. Even if you don't memorize every last detail it will likely be helpful for first timers (and even old timers) to diagnose ignition systems and get an old points type distributor installed and working properly.
