i'm suprised that there was more than a few car running these 'covers' i own multiple set of both & early 50's Pontiac sammy"s
Somebody scan the cover of the 1980's magazine Classic & Custom with the baby blue '32 3-window. That is a HOT ROD with full covers.
I had four 57 caddy's on my 51 ford I have for sale here on the hamb...but took them off and they will go on my 49 chevy fleetline now...at one time, I turned down 500.00 for the set.
My friend Tony recently put the full fenders back on his coupe and just for a change of pace he added full caps to the wheels. It makes for a great look. Geoff aka whodaky
I've always liked the rounder, plainer styles like this. In the just wondering department, are there any miss-matches between vintage full covers and the valve stem placement on newer rims? Gary
Bumping this as I prepare to order a set of WWWs for my truck. I have also been debating some full wheel covers. Are 16" full covers uncommon?
not yet. This is how it looks today. Still located in socal. Shamless plug: Here is our clubs support shirt featuring founding Cavalier member Monte Trone's coupe. We have a few left click the link below: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=709449&highlight=support+shirt+trone
WOW! Looks like not a hell of a lot has been done to mess it up over the years. Great to see how many of these cars survived the '80s/'90s more or less intact. Hope that doesnt change...
Here's a Few For you... Always loved this Gold Ford 5w, an Old Hot Rod build, The 40 Ford sedan is my Old Man's - At least I Classify it as a Hot Rod but could be a bit OT for some of you... The Model A Roadster is Paul Straus, and the Flamed 34 Ford 5W is Leroy's, both out of Buffalo. I Dig Hubcaps on Hot Rods.
