Not that there is anything wrong w'th that?

  18. Verde..True story, you descide if its in a good way,,At Caddo Mills, the Butlers had the Willys up on jack stands,Jim under it on a creeper working on a problem.I guess Inez thought he was taking too long,so she grabs one of his legs, drags him from under and says,,"Get the fuck away and let me fix the damn thing"..TRUE STORY..I was a witness..

The pictures that I posted of Jim and Inez Butler's Willys were supposed to have been taken at the nationals in Indy in the 60s. The car was called Rowdy Willy and was supposedly owned and raced by the Charioteers car club in New Mexico before they bought it. I had no Idea that people were racing Willys cars before 1958. Keep posting the pictures and history. They are my favorite cars and I am loving this history lesson. Also is that Inez in the picture?

Here is Rowdy Willy when it belonged to the Charioteers in New Mexico (Carlsbad area I think) notice the same name on the car as when Jim and Inez owned it. image.jpg

    More Bill Collins photos.

    Bobby Langley - The Scorpion

Bill marked these two pictures as being taken at Caddo. Maybe Bobby will know for sure. But I remember Bill telling me that they were invited to do demonstration runs in Mexico City.

They towed from Everman to Mexico City and made some harrowing passes for cheering crowds.
