I figured we'd go over to Troy Wait's shop for his open house today to get a burger, see Troy and there might be a few cars too... Yeah...more like about a hundred cars and bikes. A top notch event from a great builder and all around nice guy. Nice afternoon in the shadiest part of Phoenix.

I love these small events like this, although this one seemed to explode into a dandy. Really looks like a good time and hey, it is in the shady side of town. Some super sweet rides all over the place. The Nash tu-door has a spectacular front end, rare ride. Thanx for sharing. ~sololobo~

That was what struck me. I just wasn't expecting a turnout with such quality and variety, given that it is a first-time open house for this relatively new shop.

Troy has created an excellent work environment and the shop. He has specialists that can handle any type of job, including fabrication, bodywork, paint and upholstery. Troy did a great deal of the shop construction himself too, including the finished drywall ceiling twenty feet over the floor of a pretty large building.

Troy's dad, Bill, drove his duece roadster down from Prescott for the day. Bill did everything on the duece himself, including paint and upholstery, so it's easy to see why Troy is so talented. Here's Bill's duece.

    Yes.

Seeing so much yellow in one small place, it became more obvious just how many different shades of yellow there are. Here's a coupla more.

This yellow was harsh. Not like it's a bad thing. Harsh is the number one reason why hot rodders have always used it to shock the citizens. I got it out of my system about 45 years ago.

This was my favorite car there. He said he didn't care if he sold it or not, but at the price he was asking, it won't last long. Blown and air conditioned.

Blown and AC, and for sale Tudor??? How much if you don't mind my asking? That is a beautiful car, as are a lot of the others that were at this event.
