The blue Dodge (?) is gorgeous, sure is low, looks chopped. Any idea how the builder got it that low?

Steven - it was gorgeous, but I did not get a shot of it this time. It was too packed in and had its front end up which made it very hard to get a good (at least for what I'm after) shot of it. I will keep my open for it in the future.

Thanks Bret for the info here and on FB. I did get to meet them and see it close up both in and out of the show.

I think it was a 36 Chevy and definitely pretty radical - also from Canada if my memory serves me correctly. They obviously did a lot to it bagged, sectioned, channeled I think and of course chopped. Hopefully someone watching the thread will have more details.

    You're welcome and thanks GeorgeG

  27. The front end treatment on the red Chevy (?) in post #131 certainly is different. I think it's tastefully done. I like it. Do you have any pics of the rear?

I look forward to your thread every year. The images are so rich and the subjects are my favorite. Thank you very much for what you do. Many of us can't get to a lot of the big events and we get to see what we missed through threads like yours.

The shirt he is wearing shows the shoulder patch of I believe, the 11th Air Assault Division - took it's lineage from the 11th Airborne Division of WWII fame. It was deactivated in 1965 & re-designated the 1st Calvary Division prior to being deployed to Viet Nam with lots of helicopters. I participated in War Games against them while assigned to the 82dAirborne Division in 1963. The gentleman in the middle looks like a helicopter pilot that was awarded the Medal of Honor for actions in the As Hau Valley in November 1965 - the movie "We Were Soldiers" depicts that battle. I was serving with the 173d Airborne Brigade near Bien Hoa, VN, at that time. There was an 11th Armored Cavalry Squadron that also served in Viet Nam, their shoulder patch depicted a horse if I remember correctly.

    Welcome home, brothers!!
