I headed to Hot August Nights in Reno last week and had a blast. I drove the '59 Ranchero up through beautiful Lake Tahoe with my two daughters. Here are a few pictures that I wanted to share. lived next door to Reno (Sacramento) for 30 years and never made it to Hot August Nights... nice pics! I like your dad's Starliner. I just bought one
I noticed you had your lunch in the bed but what about the girls? Here is a link to my buddies photos as well. http://hotrodhigh.zenfolio.com/p984039778
My Dad's car is really great. It is a 352 360 hp 3 speed overdrive. It is all stock execept weels and a 3-dueces. He bought it brand new. It is the same car I came home from the hospital being born in 1966! Lets see your starliner. Mike
That is my youngest daughter in blue standing by that car. I love the look on her face, looks like she is thinking......."WTF?".......ha, ha. Mike
Ha! Yeah, we roughed it a couple of days without mom. We survived on chips, cookies, and beef jerky. We had an "Aweful aweful" for dinner. That tided them over for a while. Cool photos. I haven't gotten through all of them yet. Mike
Yeah, the stickers are a bit over the top. But, other than that it is a wicked car. He ran around with open headers. Sounded awesome. Mike
I agree...everytime it is mind-blowing. Sadly, I only make it every couple of years. Speaking of mind-blowing. This T was truly awesome and the guy that owned it was a super-nice guy. He even threw me into the drivers seat to get a feel for it. Sadly, my SD card malfunctioned and I got no photos of it. Did you get any other angles?
Here are some pics from mj40's buddy. Go here and there are a few pictures. http://hotrodhigh.zenfolio.com/p984039778/h1d76ce56#h1d76ce56
Awesome - Thanks. This car is quickly shaping-up to be my "gateway drug" into traditional hot rodding. I will try to get some of my photos around and share them here.
