Horn ring removal 53 ford car

    Anybody know a non destructive secret for getting these off? I have wiggled and pried around but haven't gotten too violent as I didn't want to destroy it right off the bat. thanks!

    Yeah, push in at the center and turn the whole thing to the left about 20 degrees, it'll come right off. Be sure to disconnect the battery first if your horn works.

    A follow up. The horn ring and its guts were held to the steering wheel by four small screws from the back side. I didn't find them until after the destruction has already happened. Maybe that will help someone else.
