Amish kids I saw on Sunday plus what I saw in my mind. Everything different is the same. Verona Missouri.
My sister lived in Elkhart, IN for a bit. Big Amish country around there. One time I visited I swear I saw a lowered buggy. I mean it was LOW!
What goes clop clop clop, bang bang bang, clop clop clop? Wait for it........... An Amish drive by shooting.
That top picture was in Life Magazine, and in the 40's hot rod thread on here. I've been fascinated by it since I first saw it. I'm intrigued by that divers helmet v8 distributor on what looks like a Model A engine? Can't see well enough to be sure, but it's definitely some kind of banger. Also, is that a stock style horn with the bell removed and installed pointing straight up?
Amish woman coming home in the buggy. Cop stops her and says" I don't want to be indelicate mam, but you have the reigns wrapped around you horses tesicles." The woman replies "I thank thee, officer. I will have my husband attend to it when I get home." She gets home and tells her husband "The police stopped me on the way home." "What was the problem?" her husband asked. She replied "He said something was wrong with the emergency brake".
You guys are killing me, I'm at TGIF at the bar and they think I've lost it, one bar tender said I'm cut off, hahaha.
I had a video of a guy doing donuts in a horse-drawn carriage but I can’t find it. It was awesome - I wish I could post it here.
I was at the NSRA nationals in Louisville in 92, the year of the flood. Walking all over & checking out thousands of rides. I had just ran out of film in 35 mm when an Amish buggy hot rod drove by. Looked like it was set up on a T-bucket chassis. No pictures, just a memory.
I was there but don't remember that buggy. I actually met my now wife there the day of the flood. But back on topic I like the hot rod and the three teenagers (now in their 90's if they are still alive) look like they were having a ball. I'd be having fun if that was my car too.
