I used to make these 30-40 years ago until I started buying snap on sets of picks. I use old broken truck hoist cables. Cut, bend and sharpen to your specific need. I prefer to remove the knob but sometimes it;s good to leave it if you bend a 90 in the wire and want to pull, like a light duty dent puller hook.
