I've never seen one that worked worth a hoot! Honest Charlie (I think) had some kits to add additional carbs once upon a time. I'd go vintage Offy or Clifford and use their R&D dollars. If you already have a TIG and a tube bender you might save some cash?

I don't want an Offy or Clifford, everbody has 'em... Plus they'd look out of place on the rest of project... I was thinking about making a log type intake (similar to a U-Fab or something)... But I've got 3 engines to play with which means 3 intakes... So I had an idea about wacking all of them up into peices welding them back up and having a factory look 2 or 3 carb manifold... I was thinking of doing the same thing with the exhaust manifolds by making a split manifold... If wanted to I could go crazy with a tig and a tube bender too but that doesn't fit into my plan either...

Anyways, I'd still like to see pics!

With the HAMB Drags coming up, here is one to set the tone for any of you "diehards" that are running an Chevy 6.

If well constructed, there's no reason that a homemade dual intake for an inline six shouldn't work as well as an Offenhauser/Edelbrock/whatever intake. It's not like there's any real science behind them; any inline six cylinder intake I've ever seen was nothing more than a fixture to bolt more carbs to the engine. Hacking open a dual plane V8 intake and haphazardly welding extra carb mounts to it is another story.

"thspew! cough! hack! spit!" I darn near gagged! I could not live with that thought! I wouldn't trade the fun and experience gained from designing, making and successfully running my own stuff for any amount of money!
    Here is one of mine.

I built this one for our 270 GMC. Uses 5 single throat Stromberg carbs. Runs well.

    I resemble that remark...

That was five years and about twenty manifolds ago. This is what I have on mine now:

WOW! You guys are super talented. Mine's low-tech and lowbuck, based on the stock manifold.

I'm running this currently on my 235. Homebuilt using 2" exhaust tubing for the risers, and some 1/4" mudsill plates I found at the local hardware store for the mounting flanges. I cheated a little on the carb location, mounting them a little inboard of the intake runners so I wouldn't have to butcher my firewall.

This is a very simple one I built for The Special. Not nearly as artistic as many of the others that have been posted, but it works.

Suzuki Samurai's are making intakes and using one Harley carb per cylinder.

Very simple set up and supposed to be easy to tune and cheap.

I think Google "Samurai + HD sidedraft" should work.

Replace the air cleaner and it might work for some cars.

    Hey 1950ChevySuburban,

Did you come up with a work around for the 'port robbing' effect of the bathtub ports with your EFI? I was following your progress across a number of boards and never heard if you got it beat.

I want to play with an IR set up before I kick the bucket. :D
