Here's mine
1- 22 dodge cowl
2-two 46 ford car fenders
3-two fifty ford deck lid skins
4- 47 Chevy pickup head light bucket.

 

Pretty cool, kind of a speedster build. I dig it.

 

Just dropped off the body panels for dustless blasting.

 

this is mine - all hand built except frt axle

 

Looks pretty cool Jaxx. I dropped mine off for the blasting work today. It looked pretty sad all disassembled waiting to be cleaned up. I hated leaving it with a stranger, so to speak.

It'll all be better when it comes back rust free though...

 

Can anyone tell me what 1930 gas tank i have? Sedan, Tudor. Truck, roadster? I'm not sure, as I bought it to start my project, but I'm probably going to buy a pre-made custom dash and I know there are differences in fitment.

 

Got my sheet metal back from blasting today, then got home and Speedway Santa had stopped by too. Front brakes, polished stainless steering parts, and Vega box. It's a great day at my house...

 

Is the box from Borgeson? If not you might want to do some reading on repro Vega boxes. Not many good ones out there.

 

It's a Speedway Motors brand, but it looks like it might be a Flaming Rivers box, packaged for speedway

 

32 Dash came in yesterday!

 

Almost forgot, I bought a Jag rear-end for this, last weekend.

 

1. A friend of mine handmade the door skins and quarter skins for my model A roadster pickup. He used originals as a pattern. He used a bead roller and shrinker/stretcher to build them. I built the square tubing inner structure and did a poor job, that's why the gaps are bad. It also doesn't help the gaps, that I drive the hell out of it.

 

I'll jump in! I started with this $800 purchase of a rusty, rotted mess...



Traded the pickup bed for pieces of a dilapidated turtle deck...……..



Built a frame...……



Swap meet front suspension...…



Swap meet 8" with Pick-N-Pull Landrover trailing arms and Subaru station wagon coilovers…..



Fabbed bun panels outta an '80s Chevy van hood and Mac's patch panels...………





A ton of body patch panels made from this....



Roller...….



'Outside the box' turbocharged 2.3/T5 combo...….



Flames...……..



Done....9 years and $4800 later....

 

Evintho, that turned out pretty nice. Lots of good stuff showing up on this page so far.

 

All welded together, still have work to do on it, but it's getting there.

 

That looks wrong to me.
Everything behind the cowl looks like you took a large chest freezer and attached the cowl to it.

Nowhere near the shape it should have, too square and boxy.

 

That parts not finished, I'm planning to shape it around the dash and I'm also planning to paint that part in a wood type / like finish.

 

It’s not just that, it’s the flatness off the sides, and the squareness of the back corners of the body.

 

I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before now. I built mine from the back of a 54 Buick.

 

The sides are actually anything but flat. The entire back and corners are a long curve and the sides are curved with big scallops in them.

That's pretty harsh, it has a lot more curves than a factory body and I don't see where you hand built a body from scratch on this page. I do see a nice, but run of the mill RPU for your avatar though. No reason to be a dick. The point of this was to build something i like. That's the whole point of hand building something. I wanted something unique and different. I could of built a run of the mill model A body easier, faster and for the about the same money. By the way, I hand built most of the cowl too...

A gentleman built this on a Nissan truck frame he used glass fenders , grille, and dash . He made the hood, body , and bed from scratch. Power is a 66 T-Bird 390 / C6 .

 

Working on some oil canning issues from when we welded it up.

 

The infamous cum dumpster.

 

Whatever that's all about... lots of couch critics on here. This build is about building something custom and unique, not trying to make a repop Model A.
