Home built quick-change rear

    I'm sure I recall seeing a post of someone's conversion of a stock banjo housing to a quick-change but I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe not a homemade project unless you have a complete machine shop at your disposal........

    I remember atleast one on here, and there were conversion kits back in the day too, pretty straight forward stuff, but it does take some basic mechanical understanding. The pinion gets a gear and bearing thrown on it inplace of a yoke, and the case gets some bearing mounts welded to it for a countershaft, lots of banjo stuff can be reused if you want...

    Tman, Thanks. You nailed it. I searched what I thought were good terms/words but couldn't find it.
