The body dolly is an original 32 frame, but... It is so rust pitted and thin that I wouldn't use it. This way it is still useful
Wow Dale, that's really beautiful too! You are more of a Deuce Hog than I am! Was that Jersey Seudes?
It's a very rust pitted frame, that I was worried about using, so I cut it up and sold the good front rails. Now it is very useful for mockups
Thanks to my buddies over at the NSA, they supplied a few spy satellite photos of Kelly's B400 over in merry old England before it was boxed up for the boat ride. Hope you don't mind Kelly! <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/meIRfT7TlWEwxJ6Ng-UfmNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-YtJZQgsCj9o/UDaMm9lyyLI/AAAAAAAAGp4/OxUksAYQUEs/s800/Deuce%2520B400%2520IMG_0341.jpg" height="597" width="799" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/PJm6qD2nRIuKVU8QM3f5RdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-p13pgGHLWuo/UDaM2ugT57I/AAAAAAAAGqA/Y6UZb-MTOJ8/s800/Deuce%2520B400%2520IMG_0346.jpg" height="597" width="799" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/vpAKz1OTgCpBPjk47Uvh2dMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-E3R73yK8O_k/UDa_ahNVZPI/AAAAAAAAGqY/sfkO8_vVFPU/s800/Deuce%2520B400.jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/QBzc6PxyAotvm4oR1gnoDdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-gCOeWuokpHA/UDa_zxnvUGI/AAAAAAAAGqg/WME4MVAz0H4/s800/Deuce%2520B400..jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/KuMMa5B5miyI1vlciazf3dMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-88kQgDXSjig/UDbAR0mCuUI/AAAAAAAAGqo/kxOd2SsAtCU/s800/Deuce%2520B400.....jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_bnKptpDDNcUdFFGD7CyydMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-wtWCbIFv34U/UDbHrbok6hI/AAAAAAAAGrY/hlkxIS55Rlg/s800/Deuce%2520B400%2520....jpg" height="533" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/JGFWnUMyESWtXeut80LVg9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-4vH24zRk8Vo/UDbHrZugmQI/AAAAAAAAGrY/Wv9wHg0ifOw/s800/Deuce%2520B400%2520...jpg" height="533" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Deuce B400's</td></tr></table>
Nice find, Kelly. The wait for that long boat ride must have been tough. Always nice to find something that rare and pristine!
Damn nice!! That's easily my favorite '32 Ford. What's the story on it? Looks like it was a mostly restored car and then they decided to part it? Hope you got all the other parts.
And...was it assembled in England originally or was it built up on a RHD frame recently? I don't believe the 400 was on the list in England in '32, but I believe that they could order the bodies not nrmally available there via Canada. I have seen early pics of 3W's over there, and I don't think that was on the short list either...
Windscreen - er, windshield - wiper is on the RH side. There have been quite a few RHD early cars shipped here from South Africa in the last few years, so it may have come from there. I'm no authority on them, but from what I've seen we had more European style Tudors and cabriolets (the weather, you know) originally.
The B-400 is gonna be one of the highlight builds on the Hamb,,looking forward to watching this one come together. HRP
Now this is KICK ASS KOOL!!! We are wating to see the rest of the parts and I want your body dolly... Dale yours is looking good as I knew it would.....Plus it's done up in true hot rod style..
--wasn't there a rambler in the 50's with a top like that---looks like a very nice example of an ugly duckling--restore it please --good luck with it and please share the purchase story
Sorry guys, no updates at all. I will be waiting a while to start on this one. I am currently working on my wifes 34 Ford PU, and other life things are slowing me down Kelly
