Customs Holy Cow!!!!!!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Kripfink, Feb 16, 2010.

  1. Thanks for the heads up. For awhile there I thought I had a "slate off". PMSL seems a lot more efficient than ROFLMFAO.

Now I've got to work on "Fnarghhhhh". :D

Good to see we're building some nice 'across the pond' relations :D

Love it ... hate it ... who cares. It's good to see that the majority can appreciate the work that's gone into it whether it's to their taste or not [IMG]

Now i'll duck for the flaming 'cos I never did an intro :D I'll get one up shortly but for now i'll just leave it as the best thing i've ever built was Rods 'n' Sods :)

    I dig it it's different!

  9. You do know that after the war of independence America switched the side of the road they drove on to be more like the French revolutionaries.......

  10. Because we drive on the right, all British drivers planning to visit the USA should practice driving only on the right in their home country for at least two weeks prior to arrival in the USA.

My thoughts from the U.K !
this was his FIRST go at building a car ,
    built in his garden ,
using whatever he could afford ,

Isnt that how hot rodding , started ?

I think negative its comments like " i`de use a 53 Kaiser windscreen...)"
when the F#Ck did you last see one of them in a scrapyard.......in the U.K !
and all the other inbred negative comments that I never thought i`de see on the H.A.M.B !

Whatever happened to DARE TO BE DIFFERENT in the U.S.A ?

ya all driving belly-button cars ?

all you negative`s should be ashamed of ya selves !

"Fnarghhhh" is the noise you make on the very rare occasion that you get to see a truly differant kustom. in my case, the noise is usually accompanied by a thud as my jaw hit the deck.

Unreal, absolutely unreal, can' wait for summertime to come along and i get to see it in the ally.

Brandy hon, Citreon's of that era are monoquoce (?), no separate frame under them

IF your going to QUOTE someone its considered good manners to quote the full post so that the person isn't quoted out of context.

Here, at the bottom, is what I posted...and I stand behind it as its my own personal opinion.
I don't know what you have available in the UK for a windshield...but there must be something that isn't flat and square. (I did say "something like"...)
I didn't bad mouth the car either....I PRAISED it.

I think its awesome actually...but unfortunately if it gets posted its gonna get critiqued. Thats the way it is. PERIOD.

Would I do something different? Yes.
Do I respect the build and builder? Indeed I do!!!

    Get over it...and yourself.

Thats as far as it goes....I'll defend myself, as I have now done, but I'm NOT going to add any extra drama to a thread about a cool car and builder.

I've never been in a real "pub" so I'm going to have to use my imagination....
some sort of dram or draft scoop to pull a measure of brew from a barrel?
    A peanut scoop?
A bowl for fish and chips?
Gary Busy may have been in every bar in the world but those are too big to be his grill..
It's gotta either be that or some part of a stainless steel urinal. is the mystery for suspense or unmentionable prudence

Please, pretty please with sugar on top take a chill pill. This thread,in which the positives outwegh the negatives, is an excellent showcase for an awesomely talented builder, regardless of personal taste and opinion.Drama will only get it closed, which would be a real shame for Paul and his creation.
    No offence intended to anyone.

  21. That is what I thought as well, but a premiere not a capri. I don't think the Capri had the side trim, did it? The front fenders and the side trim and design look like a 57 lincoln.

The Grill teeth, Take a look to the right of the Pic below and you'll get the idea where they were taken from, the refurb of one of my favourite local bars!!

Paul came and hung out with some of the guys last night at Pixies shop and we all traded stories. He's real passionate about Kustoms and inspiring other maybe younger Future Kustomisers and it was refreshing to hear and see again in the matt so to speak the younger perspective on old rules. We talked Li'l Bat, Matranga, Bill Hines, Gene Windfield, Andy Saunders and Ed Roth over cups of English Tea by the open fire next to Pixies and 8 pints 51 Merc project. As for the next project well lets just say he started mumbling about a new project for next year with Bubble Tops and fadeaway paint and things.

You wanna see the looks on folks faces as that thing cruises at night.!!
