Hey fellas everyone but me has no doubt seen this vid, but I just got the link from a friend. Didn't see too many hot rods or customs but it is SoCal in the '50s probably not much hot rodding going on down there back then. Anyway it is a cruise through Holley Wood in the '50s. Thought some of you would enjoy the ride. Benno http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=7LpPKAhW9-s&vq=medium
the video maker was a bit confused. It started by say 1953 but it looked like 57 to me and the music was too old..... Cool cars though thanks
I can watch that a hundred times and enjoy it every time. I think its also in the " L.A. in the 50's" thread. Thanks for posting it! It's rainy and full of 2010-2013 cars here at work
thats great, looks like 57 /i didn't see anything later then that I don't think, good number of nwe Cadi's there too.... very cool bit of history.
Gonna need to see it a few more times to really check out all the cars, but yeah the convertible shoebox with skirts and the perfect stance seems to be the best.
Was that a pink Lincoln Premier? Don't you wish you could bring back a few of those pristine bodies? .
There were a couple of times that the ride was just a little edgy. Almost hitting the T bird was the worse. I can just imagine the driver tooling along with a super 8 propped/held up to his eye.
Very cool...Everything was simpler, and the cars....works of art. Admiral theater- John Wayne (The Searchers). Shows it was released in 56. I guess that goes along with the newest cars spotted (57 chev)
At the 22 second mark a 56 Chevy wagon comes into view. Is that one of those rare Forestry Dept. type cars that has been talked about on this site ?? Or is it just a 2dr wagon. Looks the part for the Forestry car with the Olive Green color...hhmmm
