It would be a 302 "Lincoln" Y.....(that is, assuming the entry isn't a complete screw-up)....the 302 & 332 "Lincoln" Ys were still used in medium & heavy trucks in '61.
I post this about once a month. http://holley.com/data/TechService/Technical/Carb Numerical Listing.pdf This is on the holley site.
I just found this site and read all the way through it and visited the suggested sites. The number stamped on my air horn is not in any of these lists! The number I'm trying to look up is: R84024 3186 I've checked it several times to make sure I'm not misreading it... Can anyone help ID this Holley carb???
I think I might've found it.... Model 4011 Marine carb How does this differ from a car carb? Pros/Cons in using it?
http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PDFs/New Jun 2003/holley numerical listings.pdf 1850-5 shows as 4160 style 600 cfm
Anybody know what carb this is: on the rear end of the flangle "2344*" and on the right side "12R26 12B-5"
Hey guys, I have the same problem. Have a 48 Ford street rod with a 350 chevy crate and a holly dual pumper but I can't find the Holly numbers anywhere. Its leaking out the side of the shaft for the vacuum and I would like to buy one just like it so I don't have to mess with the gas line. Its printed on the air horn: R8401-U-3 and under it is: 3386 I think its a 650 double pumper but would like to know for sure. Thanks in advance for your help. JD
Holley list 8401 is a 2bbl carb for a slant 6 dodge truck engine. maybe if you post a couple pics of the carb, and a close up of the air horn where the numbers are stamped, we could help you figure it out?
John, In any 2 or 4bbl holley rebuild kit, there are some teflon strips that not many people know what to do with. These are shaft bushings that you wrap around the shaft and work into the baseplate to seal up vacuum leaks around the shafts. If your carb is long gone and not worth picking up a few teflon strips ( shaft hole wallowed out) you can take a countersink and cut a 45 bevel into the shaft hole, then slip an o-ring over the carb shaft and carefully glue the oring into the bevel, turning the shaft a few times during dry time to make sure the shaft is free, this will seal shaft to engine vacuum and double as a bushing. Done this a few times to swap meet holleys and cleaned up the idle circuit big time. When remounting the butterflys, let them seat themselves, then tighten and stake, sometines it takes a few tries not to disturb them when you are tightening them.
Hi, I have a dual line Holley I removed from my 48, with vacuum secondary's and can't find the numbers anywhere in the links that's listed. Does anyone have a clue to these: R84010-3 and under that is 3386 I'm getting ready to sell it on ebay, don't want to through it away, and would like to describe it accurately. Thanks for any help. JD
Looks like Holley's version of a 4 bbl Autolite - 600 cfm. I think they're a pretty decent carb. You might try dropping the R off the part number when you try to look it up.
Can someone help me out with my Holley 4 bbl VS carb. The horn numbers are LIST-88810 3100 under that. I'd like to freshen the carb up and use it.
I was wondering if someone could give me a hand I bought a carb and I want to find out the cfm, the list number is 7386
I had an oddball Holley 4bl that I could not find info on in any of the usual sites, I emailed Holley and got an answer back within 24 hours. OEM carb for an International truck governed from the facrtory.
O-7386 is a 4bbl from a 1976 GMC truck, with the 366 engine. that would be a medium duty truck... it has a governor, etc. not something that we try to use on hot rods, generally
I've googled and tried every site that's been listed in this entire thread, and am still coming up with nothing. Air horn # List 3918 Closest I found was 3910 Any ideas? Is it worth rebuilding, or trash it?
1968 Chrysler 440 hp.... Probably a 735-750 with Vacuum secondaries..... How about posting some pictures of it including the bottom??? Thanks a bunch!!!
I can post pictures tomorrow. Bought it at a swap for $20.00. LOOKS like in good condition. Sounds too big for my Chevy 327. Thanks for the info!!!
