Does the pump have 3 connections or just two?

Have you taken the carb apart to inspect the float valve, etc?

What do you have for a fuel filter?

2 fittings on the fuel pump, I have pulled the Carb apart, the needle valve seems to be ok. The fuel filter is a metal edelbrock. The power valve is ok. Not sure what else to look for. Have not checked the filter though.

Is the fuel level below the bottom of the sight plug hole, when it's pouring inside the carb?

is your tank venting?try removing the gas cap.i just had this happen on my buddys 38 ford truck.the tank would build pressure and push fuel right past needle and seat and dump into motor.

I've had to replace the front brass float on my cousin's 600 Holley because it sprung a leak.... Shake the float!!! If you hear any gas swishing inside, I'd replace it... Could also be the seal on the needle and seat! Also check the rubber O-ring on the needle and seat...

I have gone threw the Carb prob 5 times. It got worse as gas level increased. I'm going to pull the plug and test it.

Did the gas tank vent thing fix the problem? If you plugged it by mistake just drill it out while holding a shop vac right there next to the bit to get most of the shavings, as for the rest of them, that is what the fuel filter is for.
