Having a bit of an issue. Finally got the 62 comet running but it is idling high. I know the carb is off but I don't know where. Is there supposed to be a vacuum line to the choke thermostat? If not how does it work/what connects to the threaded tunnel??

    not like that!

The threaded fitting on the choke housing should connect to hot air coming from the exhaust manifold

Ok, just so we both know, I received the car like that. Now that I know I will change it first thing in the morning. Is there a specific port on the exhaust manifold it connects to or basically anywhere?

It's been a long time since I looked at one of those engines...

If there is a connection for it, it would be a hole that a 1/4" tube can fit into.
