Anyone have a manual? Will the frame from a 1950 Super 4 door (not Riviera) fir a 1952 Special 2 door (not Riviera)? I have a line on a 50 Super parts vehicle... Thanks!
Thank you! And if the 50 Super won't interchange. will the 50 Special interchange with a 52 Special? I may be wrong but I think the 50 Special and 50 Super have the same body.
My Hollanders doesn't go back far enough But ain't google wonderful http://www.tocmp.com/brochures/Buick/1952/pages/1952 Buick Specifications_jpg.htm http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...sult&cd=1&q=1952+buick+specifications&spell=1 Looks like the special and super were on the same chassis and the 70 series was different.
Glad someone else jumped in, I thought my Hollinders went back farther, my oldest only goes to 52 so I'm no help.
The wheelbase is the same but the Super is about 5 inches longer in overall length. If you can't find something else, I think it could be made to work for you - it sure would fit easier than say... a late model Caprice or something - you may just need to move mounts around or shorten bumper brackets or something.
So a 1950 series 40 or 50 will not fit a 1952 series 40? Dang! I know where a 1950 Series 50 donor is I can get for $100. I need a replacement frame for my 1952 Series 40! The 1952 Buick Shop Manual definitely shows the 1952 Series 40/50/and 70 have different frames...
