should make around 950hp set up for daily driving. This is with a combo that will live.
how is it inside with the turbo mounted under the dash ..ive run turbo on other cars so i know they get cherry red and hot how hot does it get inside ....just wondering ..under cover is sweet ...
havent ran it yet. I have alot of plans on how to keep it cool....where there is a will there is a way.....I had to do the hidden thing.
its gotta be fast.
and its gotta have the look.
your firewall wont be too hot. youll be fine if you have some airflow. i had used this stuff in a similar style project with great results, its expensive , and if you look at space capsules, they use the same stuff.
thanks a ton for the link. I have been looking for that stuff.
If you can live with 950Hp, you need balls of steel, and steel has a high enough melting point that very high temperatures under the dash area should not be a problem.
That should do just fine
Im hoping for the car to come in around 2400lbs with me in it agian. should be a ride.
Awesome man! That thing is going to be insane!! Thanks for the updates again.
I just got some of this for my Camaro, but haven't installed it yet cause of time.
I have not used this, but I have used their other products and I must say that they are great! A layer of this and the some of their other products should do the trick. The guy that I talk to there is Ant (yup, that's what he goes by!). Pretty helpful dude.
Does it run yet?!??
Inquiring minds NEED to know!!!
Video would be good too!!
And the rest of us, are pretty interested in this as well...................
This is going to be killer, keep it up.
You may have said it somewhere, but I missed it. How much boost do you plan to run?
up to 15LBS of boost.
Others have expressed concern over the heat. I will too. I think it's insane to bring that kind of heat into the passenger compartment as well as the associated danger from an exhaust leak.
I can appreciate the desire for a hidden system and the desire for the power , but ... anyway hope it doesn't cook or kill you.
It´s not inside the car - it´s hidden behind a second firewall.
Even behind a second firewall , the heat will be an issue. As will exhaust fumes in the case of a leak, unless it is sealed airtight which is unlikely.
I owned a Supercharged 04 Cobra mustang and the heat from boosting the engine was always an issue. That Mustang was the hottest car interior I have ever experienced. The roots blower made lots of heat, and even with an intercooler the heat was always present.
Somewhere like Texas, the AC would have to work overtime to keep up.
I think the undercar remote mount turbo's would be a better way to go.
I have the patients and the desire to make the turbo work.
So, what is the status man? The Drags are getting closer! Lol
Pics!! We NEED pics!!!! How is this beast coming?!!!!
YES!!! Inquiring minds need to know!!
This is a cracking out of the box build and taking hot rodded A's where they havent been before. Good on ya.
Before you start listing Turbo'd A's how many of them have even remotely looked trad like this one?
Great project. Don't listen to the haters, if you really want it to work that way, you'll figure it out. Oh, and, UPDATES PLEASE!!
Hell yea, Love this thread!
I'm with you Poloco. There are plenty of places to hide it under the car.
I am actually too lazy to go through the trouble to hide it at all. But I do inderstand the asthetic and the idea of a sleepy little A bone is pretty cool.
Wheelspinner you'll have to call it El Dormilon.
thanks for the great compliments. Its alot of thought and hard work comming together in one of my dream cars. I will be posting soon.
wiring almost done.
motor needs the primed, distributer and water to fire.
wiring almost done.

I love the El Dormilon but being from indiana Im gonna stick with Hidden Agenda.
got the little beast running. Been busy with work....starving artist I guess. Heres some pics.
Hot rod leather hooked me up on some more leather goods.
