Wow!!! This is the best site I have found for great old vehicles. Great pictures all over the place. Im glad I found you guys. Im in the middle of restoring my 57 chevy truck, I started it at the end of last summer and going good. "Will have to start a build thread here." I want to keep it totaly original "sorry Hotrodders" but I just want it to look and drive like it did back in its born date. To bring back some great old memories! Talk to you guys soon! Jeff
Hey buddy, I know how you feel.I'm 66, went to my first drag meet when I was 14, but never had a real hotrod. I always felt it was sacriligious or something like that, to carve up a perfectly good car. But WTF! now I'm back to it with a vengeance. I'm working on a 34 Buick rod and have just bought a 41 poncho coupe, mild street rod. Does it feel good, hugh betcha! Anyhow looks like you're going about your project the right way ground up - only way to go.
Jeff, Looks like you've got a good start. You won't catch any shit for bringing the old girl back to original on this forum. Welcome from Michigan.
Welcome from the Land of Enchantmet! New Mexico! Wow! Beautiful start on your restoration! Check out my 57' in my album. I am kinda going the same direction with a hint of custom!
