I've had this car twelve or thirteen years, I can't believe I never noticed the drivers side doorjamb was different. Anyone have an idea what it's off of?

On the passenger side you can see the tack strip channel protrusion stops just below the latch strike plate, and on the drivers side it continues half way into that stamped out square it the door jamb- Is this off a 4- door car, or a hardtop? is it off a 54 or something? It's not important, I'm still gonna use it, it's always closed and sealed ok, I'm guessing that they probably took the door off the same car the jamb came off of.

I'm just curious as to what models it could be off of...

mine are the same. i think it is for ease of passengers getting in and out on the pass side. less people tended to not get in while a driver was sitting behind the wheel.
