Just joined HAMB but I've been following drag racing and hot rods for 45+ years. Great to see that others are keeping the traditional car culture alive.
I've just started seeking out and going to vintage/nostalgia/Gasser drag races here in the Southeast (Gear Jam, Steel in Motion, Hot Rod Rumble), and it's been a blast. Will have pics to post.

  2. Welcome to the hamb. Anxious to see the pics too. Tim

No, not mine. That's Greg Porter's Night Stalker '55 Chevy Gasser out of Greenville, SC. I'll be posting more pics of it.

Yes, we have a little hotbed of vintage Gasser and related racers down here in the Carolinas. Looking them up is how I found the H.A.M.B.
I saw Gene and Quain and several other of the SEG guys run at Ware Shoals on Sept. 27. Went over there after watching the Gear Jam at Atlanta Dragway earlier that day. Which I did after going to the massive monthly Cars & Coffee here in Greenville, SC that morning. It was a long, great day of photographing cars at three events in two states for 14 hours!
